UNDERGROUND LAKE HINTERBRÜHL-SEEGROTTE HINTERBRÜHL
An underground lake south-west of Vienna, Europe's largest subterranean lake has been accessible since 1932, and is a great place to visit with the whole family.
Less than 10 km south-west of Vienna, on the road to Mayerling, make a stopover on your way to or from the largest underground lake in Europe, covering 6,200 square metres and open to the public since 1932. Requisitioned by the Wehrmacht during the Second World War and largely emptied of water, it was used in 1944 as a giant hangar for the production of the Heinkel HE 162 fighter plane. A visit for the whole family.

Le titre de "plus grand lac souterrain d'Europe" est discuté car ce site n'est pas naturel (ancienne mine inondée...)
