Museum featuring a collection of caricatures, with cartoons and a library, European caricature.

This museum opened in 2001 and was designed by architect and cartoonist Gustav Peichl. The Krems Cartoon Museum is constantly expanding its own collection of caricatures and cartoons and its specialist library. The focus is on 20th century European caricature and of course with special attention to Austria. Depending on the temporary exhibitions, comic strips, children's cartoons, the press, etc. are highlighted.

ESSENTIAL and IMPOSSIBLE TO CIRCUMVENT. Itself is defined as being the only Austrian museum of the Caricature and the Satire. Cycle of regular exhibitions of high shape, with the presentation of artists in residence. Very well located, close to the KUNSTHALL of KREMS, a municipal institution also producing art exhibitions of international quality, unusually for a small provincial town.
Open from 10 to 5 hours. A little expensive: €10 Per ticket, and 3.50 for students
