One of the oldest Cistercian abbeys in the world, in operation since its foundation in 1138, organ festival every summer.
A historic Cistercian monastery in continuous operation since its foundation in 1138. After Rein Abbey and Heiligenkreuz Abbey, it is the third oldest Cistercian abbey in the world. The monks live here from their crops, forests and fish ponds, as well as from the Gobelsburg vineyards. It's a magnificent building with a cloister and fountain. Every summer, the abbey hosts an organ festival.
