This church, high on the sites close to the martyrdom of Saint Florian, has a magnificent organ with 4 keyboards, 103 registers and 7 343 pipes. It was built by the priest Franz Xaver Krismann, between 1770 and 1774, and was christened in 1930 by former master Anton Bruckner, who is based at his request in the crypt. The Baroque church is richly decorated, including the portal and Notre-Dame chapel. The sixteen imperial chambers have largely preserved their original appearance. Empress Marie-Thérèse often visited this place that she loved. The library of the monastery is extraordinary by the importance of its fonds (more than 150 000 books, including 108 000 manuscripts before 1900 and 952 incunables), the rarity of some of its works and the richness of its decoration, including a very fine marquetry.
