WALLSEERKAPELLE (WALLSEERKAPELLE)
One of the jewels of Austrian Gothic, this chapel, built in 1276, houses a painting of the Madonna and Child.
Founded by an order of mendicants, the church in Enns, dedicated to St. Mary and featuring a traditional bulbous steeple, is one of the country's oldest parish churches, built around 1276 and enlarged in the 14th and 15th centuries. The building houses the harmonious Wallseer chapel, one of the jewels of Austrian Gothic, where you can admire the Secco painting (1625) and a stone Madonna and Child (1300). A cloister connecting the monastery was added in the 15th century.
