Castle of the Counts of Lamberg, Steyrn's fortress founded in 980, housing a library with almost 11,000 books.
This was the town's first fortress, at the confluence of the two rivers. It is mentioned as early as 980. Owned by the Counts of Lamberg (1666), the castle was destroyed by fire in 1727 and rebuilt in the Baroque style. Today, it houses a library with precious marquetry and Baroque gilding, as well as some 11,000 books, including some very precious manuscripts. The château is rented out for events.
