Founded in 1997, the Limestone Alps National Park extends over some 20,000 hectares, beyond the Sengsengebirge and the Reichraminger Hintergebirge. It is a remarkable high-altitude natural area, mainly made up of forests which are refuges for a rich biodiversity of both fauna and flora. Among the local species: the golden eagle, the lynx and even the brown bear. Numerous activities around naturalist outings.
