A remarkable high-altitude natural area, home to local species such as golden eagles, lynxes and even brown bears.
Founded in 1997, the Limestone Alps National Park extends over some 20,000 hectares, beyond the Sengsengebirge and the Reichraminger Hintergebirge. It is a remarkable high-altitude natural area, mainly made up of forests which are refuges for a rich biodiversity of both fauna and flora. Among the local species: the golden eagle, the lynx and even the brown bear. Numerous activities around naturalist outings.
