One of Europe's most important religious buildings and one of Austria's most beautiful Baroque churches.

Fisher von Erlach's masterpiece, all white domes. Built in 1696 at the instigation of Prince-Archbishop Johann Ernst von Thun, the church was consecrated in 1707. At the time, it was one of the most important religious buildings in Europe and one of the most beautiful Baroque churches in Austria. Its chapels are dedicated to the four patron saints of the faculties: St. Thomas Aquinas (theology), St. Yves (jurisprudence), St. Luke (medicine) and St. Catherine (philosophy).
