BOURGEOIS DISTRICT

Between the residential area and the river is the most famous area of Salzburg, with wrought iron signs reproduced on postcards and world famous Getreidegasse, where Mozart's birthplace is located. From Residenzplatz we follow the Judengasse with its luxurious Altstadt hotel, then the Goldgasse, a small cross-street street where the antique shops are located, and finally the Brotgasse, the rue des Bakers. At the end of the Brotgasse, we arrived at Fürst, the prestigious house where the Mozartkugens were invented, literally the «Mozart balls».
