Fully restored rural village of yesteryear. It's the region's tourist flagship. It's often referred to as Salzburg's open-air museum. Spread over a 50-hectare area, it features around a hundred village houses and farmhouses with courtyards, stores and craftsmen's workshops, recreating rural life in the Salzburg region in days gone by. Craftsmen, soap makers, rempailleurs, shoemakers and others demonstrate how they worked in the past.
