The church was remodeled in Baroque style towards the end of the century.
In 1571 a Jesuit college was founded in Hall in Tirol. Its purpose was to train religious to provide spiritual guidance to the Abbey of the Sacred Heart. The Jesuit order had to add a high school to this establishment, which it did in 1573. The church was consecrated in 1610 and remodeled in the Baroque style towards the end of the 17th century. It is in this style that it appears to us today.
