This Roman Catholic parish church is one of Tyrol's most important Gothic sacral buildings.
The Pfarrkirche Maria Himmelfahrt is a Roman Catholic parish church which has been home to the Franciscan order since 1510. Its architectural originality lies in its roof and tower covered with 15,000 sheets of hammered copper and its five-storey framework supported by 18 pillars of black dolomite. It is one of the most important Gothic sacred buildings in Tyrol.
