This unique open-air instrument, built in 1931, is the largest in the world.
A unique open-air instrument that has made Kufstein famous among music lovers. Built in 1931 in the Alpine gorge between Upper Bavaria and the Inn Valley, and then gradually extended, the "hero organ" has a total of 4,948 pipes and 4 manuals. It is the largest in the world! You can hear the organist play every day at noon and, in July and August, at 6 pm. A programme of concerts is also organised every year.
