HINTEROBERNAU MUSEUM FARM (HINTEROBERAU)
A fine example of a wooden dwelling, with a low-pitched roof, bell tower and long balconies.
The presence of this typical Tyrolean chalet farm with a dwelling, barn and stable under one roof has been documented since 1416 on an old Roman road. This is a fine example of a wooden dwelling with a low-pitched roof with a bell tower and long balconies. A certain Altpekch, who was a serf of the Duke of Bavaria, lived here with his wife and children. The farm was closed down in 1970. The Rotary Club of Kitzbühel converted it into a museum.
