This castle overlooking the town houses a regional museum.
It dominates the city and marks the landscape nicely. The beautiful medieval Landeck Castle dating from the 13th century can be reached on pleasant walks. It was the residence of the judges, who also lived in Sigmundsried Castle in Ried. The keep is the oldest part. Schrofenstein Castle houses a regional museum. During Advent, a famous Christmas market is held in the castle grounds.
