CONVENT OF THE DOMINICAN NUNS (DOMINIKANERINNENKLOSTER)
This convent, founded around 1218 by Saint Hyacinth, was used as a private religious school.
Founded around 1218 by St. Hyacinth (Hyazinth von Polen) and built with elements from the Roman period, it is the oldest building in the city. The convent was used as a private religious school. Its interior decoration is very rich and worth a visit: frescoes(Intercession of the Virgin) by Hans Andre, wood carvings(The Visitation, Saint Hyacinth) by Hans Troyer. Also worth seeing is the wrought iron gate in the nuns' choir.
