This mausoleum, built in 1614, is the most important of the Habsburg mausoleums.
Built from 1614, this mausoleum was commissioned by Ferdinand II, not yet Emperor, from the Italian architect Giovanni Pietro de Pomis. It is the most important Habsburg mausoleum. The complex includes St. Catherine's Church, which stands on the outside, overlooking the façade. The ensemble was completed by architect Johann Bernhard Fischer von Erlach. With your ticket, you can climb up to the bells and enjoy a lovely view of the orange roofs.
