TABOR CHURCH (TABORKIRCHE)
The church is particularly noteworthy for its frescoes and altar dating from 1771, by Josef Adam Ritter von Mölck.
This is one of the town's oldest monuments. The first building, dedicated to St. Thomas and dating from 1188, was erected by Thomas Becket, Archbishop of Canterbury, who was later murdered by Henry Plantagenet. In the 17th century, the church was surrounded by a moat and equipped with a bridge, like a fortified castle. The present building, dating from 1689, is particularly noteworthy for its frescoes and altar dating from 1771, by Josef Adam Ritter von Mölck.
