This former Cistercian convent, dating back to the century, has retained its historic appearance and houses museums.
This former Cistercian monastery, dating from the 14th century, was founded by the mother abbey of Heiligenkreuz, a descendant of the French abbey of Morimond, and has preserved its historic appearance. The Treaty of Neuberg was signed here. For a time, the buildings housed the Water and Forestry Department. Now privatised, the abbey belongs to a property group. Some parts of the abbey can be visited and are home to museums (natural sciences and art).
