The Basilica of La Naissance-de-Marie - also known as Maria auf der Heide, or Sainte-Marie-de-la-Lande - is a magnificent baroque building of the th century. It is an important pilgrimage place. Prince Esterházy provided the city with a new building that he richly decorated with many valuable works, including a Black Virgin (Schwarze Madonna).
