Amilcar Cabral International Airport is located 3 kilometers south of Espargos, the main town on the island of Sal in Cape Verde. Several airlines serve this airport, including Emirates Airlines, TUIfly GmbH, Transavia, Turkish Airlines, and Transportes Aéreos Portugueses. Destinations include Amsterdam, Birmingham, Dakar, Düsseldorf, Helsinki, Las Palmas, Lisbon, London, Praia, Stuttgart, São Nicolau and Verona. Flight times vary according to airline and destination. To reach the city center from the airport, cabs are available at the terminal exit, as well as shared cabs called "alugers". It is also possible to take a bus or shuttle to the city center. The airport offers services such as ATMs, bureaux de change, children's play areas, stores, restaurants and a post office.
