Visit to discover a remarkable crater with salt flats at Pedra de Lume, bring shoes to go in the water.

At the bottom of the crater, there are still the salt pans where salt was produced. From now on, tourism has taken over and bathing has become a very popular activity. The entry is paying, because an investor acquired the exclusiveness of it, which caused a great polemic between the inhabitants and the government accused to have sold the rights of exploitation of this national heritage. Plan shoes to go in the water, because the salt crystals are sharp. Finally, the place is really worth the detour for the harshness of the landscape and its colors.
