Over the course of its 22 editions, this festival has always revealed new talent, and welcomes theater companies from all over the world every year. It is considered one of the most important cultural events in West Africa. The festival is traditionally held in Mindelo, a city renowned for its artistic openness. In addition to performances, Mindelact promotes other fields, such as the arts and music. At the same time, Teatrolândia, an introductory theater program, is aimed especially at children.
