Cape Verdean cuisine is a delicious fusion of African, Portuguese and Brazilian flavors. Iconic dishes bear witness in part to the influence of abundant marine resources. Cachupa, a national dish, is a hearty stew of corn, beans, meat and vegetables, slow-cooked for an explosion of flavor.
