This is the national airline: Linhas Aéreas de Moçambique (LAM). It operates direct regional flights to Johannesburg, Lusaka, Dar es Salaam, Harare and the domestic flights that exist in the country from/to the provincial cities. Prices are high, but remain affordable for European tourists and represent an obvious time-saver, although one loses some of the charm of the road. Inhambane (for Tofo), Vilankulo (which also gives access to Bazaruto) or Nampula (for Mozambique Island) are the most booked.

But it also serves Europe (Lisbon) and Brazil (Sao Paulo). Seven Embraer E190s and one Embraer 145 are used for short- and medium-haul flights. A Boeing 737-700 is used for long-haul flights.
