In the lower city, there are not many restaurants. They are all concentrated towards the port, in the Maputo Shopping Center. Next to the new BBQ House and the Indian Galaxy, Istanbul Restaurant is a safe bet for those looking for a good kebab or other Turkish-style grilled food: tavuk shish, shawarma, kefta..., accompanied by good home-made fries or wheat. You can also order delicious and inexpensive mezzes: hummus, eggplant caviar, etc. We appreciate the air-conditioned veranda, the low prices and the fast service.
