The Scala Cinema, right in the lower city on Avenida 25 de Setembro, is a must-see for lovers of Art Deco buildings and for culture lovers. If you don't have time to see a movie or a show programmed here, take the time to stop in front of its magnificent facade dating from 1931, all white with blue touches. A small museum of the cinema of yesteryear that seems stuck in time and somewhat decrepit, it's a shame, yet very current by its programming.
