HEROES' SQUARE

Can't miss it. At its centre is a star-shaped war memorial in memory of the heroes of the revolution. This monument is open to the public only on 3 February each year, the day on which the memory of those who fought for the liberation of Mozambique is honoured. On one side of the roundabout, a mural accompanies the star. The result of the creation of a group of Mozambican artists, it tells the story of the struggle for independence. It is forbidden to take photographs without authorization from the Ministry.
