INHACA LIGHTHOUSE
Located in the northeast of the island, this lighthouse was built in 1807. At the beginning of the 20th century, it was an iron tower of 110 meters. In 1921, the lighthouse was rebuilt and became a hexagonal cement tower with a height of 31 meters. Its equipment follows the technical evolutions. From a rotating incandescent light of short range with flashes every 35 seconds to more efficient installations in 1946: an electric lantern. No longer in activity today, we climb 101 steps, what a view! 4 x 4 obligatory to go there.
