Our family celebrated my mom's birthday here. Where do I start with the praise...
> Team & service: top-notch! 20/10. From Mr. Vasco, to Geena, to the Zimbabwean lady at reception (can't recall her name), everyone was an absolute star! They really went out of their way to help us celebrate our Mom in a special way, and I'll forever be grateful for that.
> Food: we had a special dinner for the celebrations, and the chef knocked it out of the park! Breakfast + the amazing views were to die for.
> Accommodation: The Sea View Tent is really gorgeous - I can fully recommend (when we were there, they were building a second one, so that will be amazing). The meadow Chalet is neat and tidy. I can't wait to come back in a few years when this place is fully done (as per the vision of proprietor) - it's going to be even more beautiful. It's definitely not a 5-star luxury resort, but it's special in its rustic, blending-in-with-nature kind of way.
> Safety: we travelled by road as a party of 5 women (we'd never been to Mozambique before that), and never felt unsafe at any point. We didn't have a 4WD, so we left the car at a car park in Ponta do Ouro, and the resort-affiliated driver (Alfonso) picked us up from there. We were a bit apprehensive about this set-up, but it worked out great.
> Location: on a cliff overlooking the beach, with stunning sunrise & sunset views from the Sea View Tent & restaurant area. You can walk from the hotel along the cliff to the beach (whale watching trips leave from there), or drive down.
> WIFI: Starlink was set up when we arrived, and the connectivity was great.

We came here a few times for food: simply incredible! The staff (I remember José and Luka very well) were amazing hosts. The view is out of this world, and if the wind allows it even paragliding is possible! I found the prices very reasonable for the amazing quality you got. On Sunday’s they freshly roast pork, the best I’ve ever had!

Very nice resort. In the top of the cliff with gorgeous view. The road from Ponta is deep sand only for AWD vehicles. Prices there are European level. Paragliding is a experience you should not missed there even being really expensive

As tendas têm as condições básicas para se passar uma boa estadia, apesar da simplicidade. Há condições de higiene em todos os espaços. Os funcionários são bastante simpáticos e disponíveis. A zona de restauração é acolhedora e a vista é fabulosa, tendo em conta a proximidade do mar. Adorei estar à lareira à noite, no exterior.

Most beautiful view in Mozambique, beautiful place very relaxing a must visit place for sure.

The resort common areas are absolutely beautiful, sitting on top of the cliff with a stunning view of the ocean and nature around. The food is amazing!!! Props to the chef! And the receptionist, waiters and other staff are very nice. We stayed one night in a tent and two nights in a chalet. The chalets are super well equipped and the tents are also quite comfortable, except the toilet is outside and you may encounter some frogs or snakes especially at night. Overall the experience was great. The negative point was that they wanted to charge us more than 50€ for a two-way 6km ride in a 4x4 car (from Ponta do Ouro to the resort), which is a crazy amount!! If you are planning to stay at Sky Island, note that this route is impossible in a normal car, you need a 4x4.

I paid 100% of my bill upfront which was kept by the hotel when we had to cancel. They lied about returning 50% of the deposit which I was entitled to. Not trustworthy.

Simpatia do pessoal, desde o momento da reserva, até ao último dia, sempre dispostos a ajudar.
Local pacato, fora da zona mais turística da Ponta do Ouro, com os bungalows literalmente inseridos na vegetação, tanto é que uma das noites tivemos macacos a passar pelo telhado.
Qualidade das refeições, desde o pequeno almoço bastante generoso e as outras refeições de excelente qualidade e requinte.

Amazing view and great service

We had a great stay here in Dec 2022, the location and the beach are wonderful and the chalets are well temperate even at the hight of summer.

The restaurant is great, and kitchen prepared a delicious new year Eve dinner for us.

The staff are very helpful, and one experience really stands out: When our car broke down in the middle of the 4x4 track, the gardener Amando came to our rescue, helped us get the car off the track and get us running again by providing water for the radiator.

Thanks to everyone at Sky Island for making our stay very memorable!

What an amazing gem in Moz!
The arrival welcome was stunning, the food through the whole stay amazing and the luxury tents was amazing! This is a MUST visit! Thanks for the perfect setting for great family memories!

Such a wonderful stay. The staff - Jose, Geraldo and Geena - looked after us SO well. The food was unbelievable (try all the pastas. All of them) and the location is prime. We stayed in the deluxe camp site and were super comfortable. We'll be back next year!

We did not stay at the resort but we always come here for a drink when we are visiting the area. 100% worth it.

We requested a drink that was served in a coconut and our waiter (Salvador) said they don't usually do it but he'll make a plan for us! It was such a refreshing experience and we deeply appreciated the effort.

I can't wait to stay here next time!

What a wonderful place. The view, the food, the service, everything was top notch. Not to mention the beach! Wow!...The road getting there was rough and that is not really the resorts fault, but it adds to the experience. And the stairs down to the beach could be much approved. But all in all, a superb place to spend your weekend, we didn't want to leave!

The road to get there was adventurous. Almost there we got stuck in the sand but got help from the crew. Thank you!
The bumpy road was worth coming to this beautiful place with warm welcome. The view is spectacular. We stayed in the Super Deluxe Camp and it was great. I can really recommend this place.

A hidden gem on the Ponta coastline. Only accessible by 4x4. The hotel is prestine and gives a sense of cal as soon as you walk in. Perched on the top of the cliff gives stunning views of the ocean, quite a walk down to the beach. Chalets are super comfortable and give e sense of luxury. Camping or Glamping tents are avaiable which are also very comfortable. Cocktails are strong and food is delicious.

Great place to be, honestly! You can do all sorts of events there, it's clean, beautiful and the most civilized place in Ponta. The staff are super friendly and helpful too.
