At Bulbul Backpackers, 20 minutes from the ocean, on the shores of Lake Quissico, you can breathe easy. Here, in this low-cost hostel, the buildings are made of local materials: from the dormitory to the family hut, everything is designed in harmony with the environment offered by nature. A common kitchen and sanitary facilities are available for backpackers in dormitories and campers. The private huts are equipped with a bathroom. As for the family hut, it can accommodate 5 people. We enjoyed our stay at the bul bul so much, it was definitely one of our highlights. The family was so kind, we almost felt like being home. The rooms were really clean and the Rondavel has an Amazing view, the home cooked local meals were awesome, we enjoyed the sea on the one side and the lake on the other side, where it's easy to swim or kayak around. It's a truly magical place!

Beautifully located overlooking the lake of Quissico, BulBul Backpackers is a great stop to wind down when traveling along the coast in Southern Mozambique. Diederik and Arcenia are great hosts. The lodge is clean and in great condition. The beach is only a 15min walk away. Highly recommended.

Great lodge in the middle of nature. Friendly and hospitable hosts. Excellent and good value food at their 'restaurant'.

You can do scenic hikes to the beach and around the lake. Also canoeing or just swimming in the lake is nice and refreshing.

Their dogs may join you if you go on a walk (if you want!)

El mejor lugar de Mozambique donde he estado. Tranquilidad, naturaleza, kayak, lago increible, playa preciosa, gente maravillosa, comida deliciosa vegetariana... El sitio es auténtico! Con una familia local super amable y cariñosa. Vale la pena cojer taxi para llegar. Una vez llegas es un paraiso!! Lo aconsejo!!! Voy a volver muchas veces mas
