In Bitonga, Mafu means "earth". We understand its name when we discover this incredible ecologde made of superb white domes in adobe, bags of raw earth that seem to be shaped by the hands of a giant potter. Inside, delicate rooms with a beautiful bathroom and a yoga mat that we like to use on the sunny terrace, in connection with nature. The table here is vegetarian and in the same zen spirit, as are the massages, the yoga classes, the meeting with a libumba ceramic artisan..

Mafu Haus is a rustic ecolodge set on a gentle hillside overlooking the golden bay of Inhambane. It offers private mud cottages providing an oasis of calm in nature overlooking the bay. All rooms have fans, en-suite bathrooms, yoga mats and private terraces .Room reservations can bemade on the website. This establishment also offers vegan and vegetarian dishes. Enjoy wood-fired breads, freshly squeezed fruit juices and refined cocktails, all lovingly hand-crafted .During your stay, you'll be able to take part in a variety of activities, including diving and kitesurfing... I really appreciated how eco- friendly Mafu Haus tries to be. We need more people like them.
Its an easy location to do everything in the area from: scubadiving or dinner in Tofo (about a 10min drive away), snorkel in the lagoon, surf in Tofhino etc.
Really enjoyed hosting you and Miguel.
