BUREAU DE LA RESERVE DE MARROMEU
The Marromeu National Reserve, located in Mozambique's Sofala province, is a must-see for nature lovers. With its dense forests along the Zambezi Delta and famous Cheringoma cliffs, the reserve offers breathtaking scenery. In 2003, it was designated as the country's first Wetland of International Importance due to its undeniable ecological significance. The main species present in the reserve is the African buffalo, which can be observed in herds of several hundred individuals on the vast green plains. To reach the reserve, take the EN282 from the town of Beira to the town of Marromeu, a journey of around 338 km. The reserve is accessible by 4x4 vehicle.
