FERRY MV ILALA
This old World War II ship stops here every Tuesday at the crack of dawn, heading south. He left Malawi the evening before at about 8 pm, and returned to the country further south, to Monkey Bay, from where he will leave again on Friday at about 10 am. It returns to Metangula on Saturday at 8am and continues to its port of departure, via Ngo, Cobué and Likoma Islands. Count 6 hours to Cobué and two more to the Malawian islands opposite. The port of Nkhata Bay will be reached on Sunday morning. Be careful, we pay exclusively in kwachas, the Malawian currency.
