TEMPLE HINDU
Go there and contact
This Hindu temple bears witness to the existence of Indian merchants who settled on the island of Mozambique, as on the entire Swahili coast. Most of them were banians, who had great political importance and worked in trade, sewing and goldsmithing. The temple is located at the edge of the "city of stone and lime", set in a large garden. The first temple was built in the 17th century, under the government of the Viceroy of India Sebastião de Morais. A Hindu cemetery also existed at the end of the 18th century.
