A traditional restaurant specializing in knödel cuisine.
A Bavarian restaurant like so many others in Munich. With one exception, even if you can find all the traditional dishes, the Wirthaus an der Au specializes in the preparation of knödel, these typical Bavarian dumplings often served with a sauce. Try a plain knödel or one with a filling: spinach, cheese, tomato... there is something for everyone. The shop has its own tent during the Oktoberfest (beer festival) and presents the largest knödel in Munich every year.
