CHRISTOPHER STREET DAY MÜNCHEN (MUNICH PRIDE)
Munich Pride takes place over a week every year and celebrates the start of the LGBTQ liberation movement in June 1969.
Munich's Christopher Street Day, the equivalent of Gay Pride, is one of the country's largest gay and lesbian gatherings. It commemorates the beginning of the LGBTQ liberation movement in June 1969, in the Stonewall bar (on Christopher Street in New York). The Munich CSD (or Munich Pride in English) takes place for a week every year in early July. Numerous cultural and festive events are organised alongside the parade during "Pride Week".
