Filmfest München: end of June, beginning of July for lovers of the 7th art, do not miss the Munich film festival!
Since 1983, the Munich Film Festival has been attracting the cream of the 7th art every year at the end of June. Around 200 feature films, documentaries, shorts and TV films are shown, with international, European and German premieres. The traditional opening ceremony of the Filmfest is held at the Mathäser, but the films are shown in numerous cinemas throughout the city: Filmmuseum, Filmtheater Sendlinger Tor, Gloria Palast, etc.
