The most famous race in the world takes place in Munich during the equally famous Oktoberfest. There are several courses to choose from: the marathon itself (42 km), the half marathon, the 10 km course and the relay course. The marathon route takes in Munich's old town, the districts of Haidhausen and Schwabing, and of course includes a large section in the Englischer Garten, which is popular with Munich joggers all year round. There has been no new record since 2012. On your marks!
