PETERSKIRCHE
The tower of the Peterskirche offers the best view of the whole of Munich. In good weather you can see as far as the foothills of the Alps.
St. Peter's, Munich's oldest parish church, dates back to the 11th century. The church was restored in Gothic style after a fire burned down a third of the city in 1327. In the 18th century, the interior was redecorated in Rococo style. The platform of the bell tower, fondly called Alter Peter (French for "Old Peter") by the people of Munich, is one of the city's best vantage points. After climbing 306 steps, you can enjoy views of City Hall, Marienplatz and Notre-Dame Cathedral.
