A beautiful baroque church in the centre of Munich, with frescoes by the Asam brothers.

The Baroque Church of the Holy Spirit is one of Munich's oldest churches. Formerly Gothic, the church was baroqueized by the Asam brothers and Johann G. Ettenhofer between 1724 and 1730, and features beautiful frescoes by Cosmas Damian Asam in the 18thcentury , which were rebuilt after the war as they were severely damaged by bombing. The interior of the church is in the Baroque and Gothic styles. The nave's sober decoration contrasts with the colorful ceiling: pink, yellow and green. All the splendor is on the ceiling. A lovely setting!
