The Amalienburg is a small hunting lodge in the Nymphenburg Park and one of the masterpieces of Bavarian Rococo.

This small rococo hunting lodge in the Nymphenburg Park was built between 1734 and 1739 under the direction of the architect François Cuvilliés. The Elector Charles Albert (Karl Albrecht) dedicated it to his wife Maria Amalia, hence the name Amalienburg. The ensemble, with its series of elaborately decorated salons, is a masterpiece of Bavarian Rococo. The interior was designed by Joachim Dietrich and Johann Baptist Zimmermann, specialists in stucco and sculpture in Bavaria.

Petit château juste à côté du château de Nymphenburg, situé dans le parc au milieu de la forêt. Son architecture est très belle à voir, il fait parti de la balade évidemment !
