MUSEUM VILLA STUCK
The former home of the famous painter Franz von Stuck (1863-1928) has been converted into a museum and now welcomes his admirers.
The house of the famous painter Franz von Stuck (1863-1928), designed and furnished by the painter himself, has been transformed into a museum dedicated to Art Nouveau. He conceived his home at the end of the 19th century as a work of art, a cross between classical design and Jugendstil, a fin-de-siècle artistic and architectural movement comparable to Art Nouveau. Canvases by von Stuck are on display, including Die Sünde(Sin), painted in 1912, which shocked the right-thinking heads of the time! You can also visit the artist's studio and private apartments.
