MUSEUM BRANDHORST
The Brandhorst Museum has a large collection of pop art, especially by Andy Warhol. Its colourful façade is fascinating.
This museum is well worth a visit, if only to see its astonishing facades made of 36,000 ceramic slats in different colors. The Brandhorst Museum houses a collection of contemporary art from 1960 to the present day. Its holdings include 120 works by Andy Warhol, one of the largest collections by the pop-art icon. Other internationally renowned artists on show include Jean-Michel Basquiat and Jeff Koons. The top floor is devoted entirely to Cy Twombley, a leading figure in "expressionist abstraction".
