NS-DOKUMENTATIONSZENTRUM
This museum and documentation centre provides information on the history of National Socialism in Munich.
Munich is irrevocably associated with Nazism. Declared the capital of the movement by Hitler, it served as a backdrop for all sorts of NSDAP events. It was on the site of the Brown House (Braunes Haus: the former party headquarters) that a documentation centre was established in 2015, with the aim of creating an open and lively forum for information and discussion. The permanent exhibition traces the history of National Socialism in Munich, the city's special role in the terror system and Munich's difficulties in coming to terms with its past after 1945.
