PFARRKIRCHE SANKT QUIRINUS
Beautiful church of a former Benedictine convent. Its frescoes are by Hans Georg Asam.
The door of this beautiful church is the perfect place to take a look at the frescoes by Hans Georg Asam, one of the great masters of the art. Until 1803, St. Quirin was the church of the most important Benedictine monastery in Upper Bavaria, which can be clearly seen in the wings flanking the church. Restored from 1998 to 2004, the frescoes by Hans Georg Asam and the baroque stucco work of the Italian masters have been restored to their former brightness and splendour.
