This traditional Bavarian restaurant on the market square lives up to its name and also boasts the oldest beer garden in Berchtesgaden. The interior design is not the most designer, but the wood panelling on the walls gives the impression of having found refuge in a chalet. The service is prompt and you will be very well received. Regional specialities include trout meunière with jacket potatoes and green salad or deer steak with hazelnut apples and Williams pear
