This café-restaurant is located at an altitude of 1,000 metres on the Obersalzberg mountain. From the terrace, there is a splendid view of the Watzmann and Hochkalter mountains and the valley of Schönau am Königssee. The café has made Windbeutel its speciality (a large cream puff with chocolate sauce and a scoop of ice cream). An easy one-hour walk from the parking lot of the Obersalzberg documentation center. One good thing is that whatever calories you take in with the delicious Windbeutel will be burned off immediately on the return hike.
