DOKUMENTATIONSZENTRUM OBERSALZBERG
A museum with a wide range of themes relating to the Reich and an educational presentation of the history of Obersalzberg.
From 1923 onwards, the Obersalzberg massif was Adolf Hitler's holiday and resting place. In 1933, the dictator acquired a chalet there, which he named Berghof after numerous refurbishments. The second decision-making center of Nazi power, it was bombed by the Allies in 1945. Returned to the Land of Bavaria in 1996, a museum was built nearby. Numerous themes relating to the Third Reich and a detailed history of Obersalzberg from 1933 to 1945 are presented in an educational manner.
