STIFTSPFARRKIRCHE ST- PHILIPPUS-UND-JAKOBUS
Visit this beautiful Gothic parish church with two towers, beautiful door, clock and tombstones.
Renovated a few years ago, this beautiful parish church with two towers was built between 1499 and 1511, in the Gothic style, a rather discreet style in this region of Germany. A fascinating guided tour, a beautiful engraved wooden door, a small skeleton above the clock that mows down the dead in reference to the plague of 1634, in Renaissance style, tombstones of Carolingian kings including Charlemagne's nephew. Pilgrims leave gifts here.
